Energy blast Spirulina Superfood recipe 2022

Spirulina is one of the most potent and nutrient-dense foods on earth, and smoothies are probably the best way to consume it.

The fact that spirulina is 65-70% pure protein by dry weight immediately struck me when I first learned about it and started looking into why it was regarded as a superfood. Because of this, I frequently refer to it as “green gold” or “the green protein queen.”

Putting aside its high protein content, what makes spirulina exceptional and why should you include it in your smoothies?

Vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and carotenoids are abundant in spirulina. It is a good source of gamma-linolenic acid, an anti-inflammatory important fatty acid, as well as the vitamins A (beta-carotene), B1, B2, B6, E, and K, as well as zinc, copper, iron, manganese, and selenium (GLA). Additionally, it is a rich natural source of chlorophyll.

  • improved immune system performance
  • improved blood quality improved brain health
  • Purification and detoxification

Superfood

As great as the spirulina’s nutrition and health advantages are, I continue to buy it and use it to smoothies because of its high protein level. Mind you, this is a plant-based protein that the body can easily ingest and absorb. Visit my in-depth article about spirulina by clicking here for additional details.

For those who need protein first thing in the morning or after a workout, the green protein queen is for you.

Most people don’t find the taste of spirulina very pleasing to the palate, therefore “hiding” it in a smoothie is the way to go. It pairs well with cacao, which this smoothie also calls for. As with any food or supplement you’re new to, start off with a small amount and work your way up.

Like the picture of spirulina above, this smoothie will be dark green, and be forewarned you may have green lips after drinking. Enjoy
